Done and operational

What can I say? It just works! Great kit. Plenty of parts left over for the mess ups. Although I'm glad kabtronics did all the hard work figurin this out, I do wish I could understand how it really works. I'll be taking it to my office where it will have a prominent place on my wall. This was a very fun project and completely worth the price and time.

Bummer thing is that there's only 1 section of my project left.

Minutes chain

Next is the tens of minutes chain. A couple of more things I've learned:

1) the tip of the soldering iron I getting blunted, but it still seems to work ok. Of course they have replacements for every other style they sell at Radio shack except the one I have so we'll see how it goes

2) don't bother attaching the power cord permanently at this point. You'll be happy it's off, but happy its easy to quickly put back on to test.

3) transistors are stickyoutty and get caught on things like clothes. I tore one side of one off in the power supply without noticing then all I ha was a clock that said ":21" and nothing more... Until I found that bugger.

4) I ran out of solder today and had to get more, although it seemed they'd provided enough in the kit.

5) you'll be amazed at how heavy it's getting!
